Work begins at Cherrywood

Hines Ireland has today announced the commencement of the important first phase of construction which will pave the way for a new Town Centre and up to 6,000 new homes at Cherrywood in South Dublin.

Work is to get underway immediately on the multi-million euro project which will see the development of a major roads network and three substantial sized parks at Cherrywood over the next 18 months.

Planning permission has been granted for 5.4 km of new roads 82 acres of parkland, all of which will serve the new town of Cherrywood. This first phase of development includes the building of pedestrian footpaths, cycle paths and greenways and the planting of over 3,000 mature trees including oak and cherry varieties which will make for a well established landscape, prior to people moving into the area.
